Three years ago today I met my funny, sweet, smart, and silly little man Milo.
This weekend we threw a Lego birthday party for him and it was a blast! A Pinterest dream come true for me. Seriously, how did I plan parties before Pinterest? Ha!
Since we aren't in our own place yet, I decided to scale it back a bit. It also helps a little that we don't have as many kids here {yet}, so the party was more mild;)
I found an outline of a Lego man and Casey suggested I make shirts. Genius! Fortunately, all the kids are roughly the same size right now so I was able to buy one pack of undershirts for the whole gang. Yay! Casey helped me come up with the idea of pinning the shirt down on cardboard - a huge help with tracing.

They turned out so cute!
Casey is full of genius ideas. I know I am biased, but seriously. He has great ideas to save time! I needed to hang the streamers and he busted out the drill - able to twirl in half the time.
Ian and Milo did a great job "supervising" Grandma Jane's cake decorating;)
We were blessed with beautiful weather and able to set up outside. It helped cut down on the mess and made for easy clean up after the party!
A Lego sign for the front door. I even got a compliment from Ian on how great I did!
A Lego cutlery holder - cute and easy.
I scored a roll of bubble wrap at the Dollar Tree and Casey spray painted it green = a super cute Lego table runner!
How cute are the Lego ice bricks? A perfect addition to the punch!
And a cute sign to honor the birthday boy!
The kids had fun decorating their Lego man shirts. I was surprisingly pleased at how fast they dried, so the kids were able to wear them during the party. Even more awesome than I had planned!

The cake!!! So yummy - Grandma Jane always gets it right:) I attempted to make Lego chocolate candies for the top of the cake, but they turned out to be too large and not that tasty. Grandma Jane found Lego candy on her trip. They worked perfectly! The boys helped me make cinnamon walnut ice cream to go with the cake. It is a summertime favorite at our house. So easy and delicious!
The birthday boy donning his own Lego man shirt. He was quite proud of his artwork. It was a wonderful day full of family, friends, good food, and fun. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it and for those who couldn't, we missed you!
Happy Birthday, Milo! May your 3's be your best year yet!
