3+1=4

What a lazy weekend - it has been snowing since Friday. We haven't had much accumulation, but it has made us just want to stay inside all weekend. Ugh! I am so ready for spring. February is always a hard month for me. Winter drags on and especially this one - I think the bitter cold temperatures and the snow starting early in the season are mostly responsible. Ian was excited to get out and help Daddy shovel this afternoon. I got him all bundled up and he stood patiently by the door for Daddy to give him the go ahead. How adorable is he?!

We are happy to announce the pending arrival of baby #2! He/She is expected to arrive August 11th. We are very excited (albeit nervous about being the proud parents of two!) to expand our family and can't wait for Ian to be a big brother. He says he's excited too, but he also responds "yes" when I ask him if he wants to be a dinosaur so we'll see! I know we'll all adjust in time. For now we are trying to enjoy our wonderful family of 3:)

We knew we were going to have to get a new stroller and car seat since I strongly disliked what we had for Ian. I did some research and found out that Babies R' Us was having a trade-in event and would give you 25% off a new purchase for each item you traded in. So, we gathered Ian's old car seat and stroller to return. At least we were saving money while spending it, right? Anyway, Ian had to say one last goodbye to his old car seat. The picture is a little blurry since I took it on my phone.

In other family news...we learned not only is Ian going to be a big brother in August, but he is also going to have a new cousin! My brother and Heather are expecting their first child in August. She is due August 18th (our Mom's birthday!). There is a lot of family fun headed our way later this year...
