and we got to see some of our favorite peeps...the Courtney family. The original plan
was to picnic at the park on Sunday. However, in typical Colorado fashion, the weather
changed on a dime so we had to revise our plan. We still made it to the park (we do have
priorities!), but moved our picnic inside:) It worked out fabulously!
Kate has an iPhone, so she was able to get way better pics that I. Jealous! I don't
need a new phone, but I sure do want one. Not have to tote around a camera in
addition to phone or not having to wait an hour and a day for my photo to load on
my phone so I can take another one...it would be bliss. However, I digress. Back
to our cute kids!
I love the above pictures of Milo! They remind me of one of faves from when Ian
was his age. Milo is fearless - I am sure it is part his personality and part of having
a dare-devil big brother to look up to.

I love that our kids were born with BFF's! It is so much fun for them and us -
I love that I get to hang out with my "breast" friend and catch up while our
kids entertain themselves. Ava was really into the slide and desperately wanted
Milo to be as interested. I did too! A cute photo op, but little cooperation from
Mr. Milo. The one above was as good as it gets, but I'll take it. They are so
sweet together! And the way Ava says Milo (MoMo) is too darn cute. Milo
just started saying Ava (Aba) this week. He has been chattering about Ella for
weeks though - perhaps her name just rolls off the tongue easier for him or
maybe it is because he hears his big brother talking about his girlfriend Ella.

Ella thought she had something on her foot and Ian stopped to check it out with
her. He made sure all was well before they scampered away onto their next
mission. Last week we got this book in the mail - part of the Dolly Parton
Imagination Library program. It is such a sweet book and totally reminds me
of Ian + Ella.

We didn't stay at the park long because it got chilly quick, but we had a blast!
On the way home, I turned around and saw this. Milo's latest obsession is his
socks. He takes off his shoes, puts his socks on his hands like hand puppets,
and then apparently chews on his socks once he is bored with that:)
We came back to our place and had our picnic - complete with fried chicken,
salad, potato chips, and these (to die for!). So delicious. The kids ran around
and played for about an hour before it was time to get ready for bed. It was so
much fun getting to hang out with our friends, but I think the best part is how
hard the kids crash after a day of fun!
