Oops!

I swear I posted this, but clearly not.  I guess I got the slideshows posted and called it done.  My bad.

Linnea (the darling daughter of Erin and Mattias) turned 2 on June 22nd.  We headed to Denver on June 18th to help her celebrate.  She hosted a party at Little Monkey Business.  I have heard great things about it, but this was our first time there.  Ian LOVED it and I loved that he could just run around and I didn't have to worry about where he was or what he was doing.  There was a space for crawlers, but Milo wanted to be with the big kids.  We let him crawl around and hang out in the places where there were not many bigger kids, but all the kids did a great job watching out for him.  A little pizza party and cake after a hard night of playing.  What could be better?  We went to the Nordlof's for some down time following the party - kids played in the backyard, we enjoyed a drink or two.  Then it was time to head home for bed:(

Sunday was Father's Day and Casey's only day off during the week.  The boys both slept in until 7:30 AM, which was lovely.  We let Daddy sleep for a bit longer, but he is a morning person so he didn't sleep too much longer.  We hit the road and headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park for a couple of hours.  It was a gorgeous day!  We were hoping to see some snow (Ian insisted on wearing his snow boots and bringing along his shovel just in case), but didn't get too far before it was time to turn around.  A busy day was still ahead!  We stopped off to check out the raging river.  It was awesome.  I can only imagine how much crazier it is going to get since there is still so much snow to melt.  We all enjoyed a fun day with Daddy!  We are blessed to have such a wonderful man to keep our home happy.  Thank you for all you do for us my love.

Later that night we headed back to Denver - I got Casey tickets to the Rock of Ages musical for Father's Day.  We had talked about going and it worked out that Erin and Mattias scored some discounted tickets for us.  Always a bonus!  We enjoyed a great dinner at Marco's and then met the Nordlof's at the Limelight Supper Club.  Not like the supper clubs back home, but still a nice atmosphere and great cocktails before the show.  Rock of Ages was awesome - it was like being at all my favorite concerts at once!  I wanted to get up and dance, but figured I would get the stink eye from all the theatre peeps.  So I rocked out in my chair and sang along to every song.  I highly recommend anyone who was in love with the hair metal bands to check out this musical - you will not be disappointed!
